K L E T T E R N - braucht Vertrauen in sich selbst, an die eigenen Kenntnisse und in die Person am anderen Ende des Seils. Klettern heisst Mut und auch mal etwas zu probieren, das man sich nicht immer zutraut.

One of the dreamier views I’ve experienced. I will say though that this day was full of ups and down. At one point we were locked out of our car for three hours, but sometimes bad days can have happy endings ⛰

Bueno, sí, pero la escribo mañana en otro post.
The best way to mystify is to head out late at night and watch the sky 🌌
I told myself I was going to post every day this month and I already almost messed up. I got a bit too caught up in my drone waterproofing and time really got away from me. Anyway, here are some stars for y’all tonight since we won’t be getting much of anything in Bellingham.
Happy Wednesday everyone 🤙🏼
My main question is... how did Twilight seriously get away with being as angsty as it was? Riddle me that. So friggin angsty. I literally wouldn’t even know where to begin this paper.
On a more relevant topic, @soersha was watching Twilight this evening, which means, so was I for a bit. I love sister time. 🥰🐺🧛🏼🦢🌲💦

Between Castelo de Vide and Portalegre, and only a few kilometres from Spain, stands the peaceful town of Marvão, on the highest crest of the Serra de São Mamede. The hilltop village of Ammaia, as it was then known, owes its current name to the fact that it was used as a place of refuge by Ibn Marúan, a Moorish warrior, during the 9th century. The Arab domination of the area lasted for several centuries and ended when the military campaign of 1160/66 for the Reconquest of the territory resulted in yet another victory for the Christian forces led by D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal.
This medieval walled town is one of Portugal’s treasures, where you are welcomed and feel a limitless tranquillity. Marvão is known for its narrow streets and picturesque recesses, its Manueline pillory, and its Gothic windows and wrought iron balconies.
Running a trail race up in the mountains this weekend. The truth is - I don’t like races. I love to run and I run all the time, but I don’t need to run a race or post my stats on social media to validate that. Yet I trick myself into signing up for a race. I dread the race, but I run the race. Then I finish the race and I’m like sweet! Then I sign up for another one.
Yep, you'll get a little dusty at Havasupai. So what shoes do you bring? In short, you're going to need two pairs of shoes.
⛺ 1. I highly recommend quality hiking boots for the 10-mile hike in and out. It is important to have the proper foot and ankle support on the rocky stream bed during this trek. I love my @Keen hiking boots for this reason.
⛺ 2. But once you are at the campground, having comfortable water shoes is a MUST for exploring the different waterfalls. You'll be in and out of the water, especially when hiking down to Beaver Falls. I love @teva sandals because they are lightweight, comfortable, and can be easily strapped to the outside of your pack. The ones pictured do not have support or grip, so shop around if you are looking for that. It didn't bother me, but there is some scrambling on the way to beaver falls, where it would be handy.
You're likely adding unnecessary weight if you're bringing more than two pairs of shoes! I also wore my hiking boots to descend Mooney Falls and tied them onto my day-pack when I got to the bottom.
In my "camp at Havasupai" blog post, I review the necessary gear that you will need for a successful backpacking trip. Read the full list by using the link in my bio and clicking this image.✨

It felt so good to be able to travel again and watch sunsets like this from a different country 😁
In case you needed a reminder today to spread love and light! How cool is this desert art instillation? My favorite thing about road trips is not necessarily the end destination, but all the little gems you find along the way 💫
