In questi ultimi anni c'è stato un po' di dibattito a livello generale sul discorso fare ipertrofia... - C'è chi dice che è meglio fare solo volume - C'è chi dice che è meglio lavorare su tutte le fibre muacolari e quindi mischiare lavori di forza, volume, e cardio - C'è chi dice che non si può fare ipertrofia a corpo libero - C'è chi dice che solo con i pesi si può fare ipertrofia - C'è chi dice che il miglior modo è mischiare esercizi a corpo libero con i pesi
o altro ancora... Sicuramente se sei un appassionato dell'allenamento ti sarà già capitato di imbatterti in queste conversazioni o dibattiti, ma la verità sai qual è?
È che non esiste una vera metodologia e non esiste il metodo migliore, perché ognuno di noi risponde in maniera differente allo stimolo dato.
Quindi una persona riesce a progredire in maniera corretta e progredire costantemente facendo solo 3x8, altri invece dovranno fare un percorso più specifico e mischiare esercizi di forza o altro per stimolare il muscolo in maniera corretta e riuscire a ottenere la massa sperata.
Perché ti sto dicendo tutto questo?

Had a great boost of motivation watching the PCA Midlands yesterday and supporting good friends
I must admit that travelling up north two weekends in a row hit me up quite bad. I had a massive headache yesterday and I woke up with it this morning feeling super weak
I need some recovery time for sure as I've been putting my body through a lot of stress. Quite hard to take days off whilst my mind is still fired up. My mind will always win over my body 😅
But I need to learn to listen to my body as well. Rest day due, or maybe not? 🤦♂️🤷♂️ we will see 😅

Which I can actually maintain with this new backpack, feeling more organized than ever! And trust me - that’s something coming from me (miss messy-head)🤦🏼♀️👸🏼
There is a space for everything, and got room for loads more than I would have imagined could fit in there🧐
And I still manage to locate my stuff without having to empty my entire backpack - which honestly has been a big problem for me (and my mess)🤫🤭

My baby sister is married!
On Saturday I had the amazing honor of being my sister’s Maid of HONOR as she married the love of her life! (See what I did there? Lol)
Faith, I am so proud of the woman you have grown to become and I thank you for being one of my best friends as well as my favorite little sister. You’ve supported me and have been by my side for everything I’ve ever done, including my weight loss journey, and that means more to me than you’ll ever know!
These are just a snapshot of how truly beautiful the day was but I wanted to share with y’all because you’re just as much apart of my family as everyone else who was there in person!
I don’t want to make this post too much about myself because that’s not what’s important here, but, I will just say, it’s crazy to walk into a room full of people who you’ve know for literally almost your entire life and have so many of them introduce themselves as if they’ve never met you! I got to talk health and weight loss a lot throughout the day and it made me so happy!
But to bring it back to what’s important about this post, it was an absolutely beautiful day, my sister made the most gorgeous bride, I finally have a brother after wanting one for my entire life, and we got to celebrate love, one of my favorite things in the world. Congratulations Faith & Tanner! I love you both so so much!

Un po’ di ansia, una pedata in faccia in vasca e sensazione di soffocamento, così è iniziato il mio primo triathlon sprint! Ma poi mi sono divertita un sacco, ho recuperato coraggio e ho fatto i miei 750 m a nuoto, ho dimenticato il pettorale in T1 e ho completato la bici e la corsa alla grande! .
Domenica giretto in bici con i compagni di squadra, insomma un weekend alternativo alla corsa che ci voleva e credo diventerà sempre più frequente .. perché ogni tanto fa bene cambiare sport! 😉

⚡️Do you need protein shake or supplements to lose body fat ? 🤔 #myth or #truth 🧐?
🔥 MYTH 🔥! But I fell into this trap for the first few months of my fitness journey. I bought an expensive meal replacement shake called @shakeology and fell into believing that it is an elixir of fitness aka fatloss. I would drink it religiously every day after my workout & even convinced few friends to use it. I did lose weight - but that wasn’t because of the shake. .
In 6 months the $$ got too much to handle & I left it. I wasn’t taking any other supplements after that for 2 months until I found @questnutrition (but it didn’t suit my body) and finally landed & stuck to @pescience whey protein. All along I was working out 6 times a week, eating clean portioned food & building a fit lifestyle.
In those months I did continue to loose weight & saw changes in my body. Being 70+kgs that time my only progress metric was inchloss. Protein shakes and supplements are additional boosts of nutrition; especially if you are looking to build lean muscle tissue and sustain it.
I’ve noticed that a post workout @pescience shake keeps me less sore, more energized and protein (being a satiating macro) keeps me feeling full for longer. I also take @sportsresearch collagen along with it to boost joint health & recovery. .
All in all - if you can not afford or don’t want to - feel free to find more natural sources of protein. But if u can, it’s nice to have a healthy yummy chocolate 🍫 milkshake 🥛 waiting for you after a workout 😉 .
