London meal # 1: Spiced Goose en Croute with date and apple chutney, roasted pumpkin with autumn vegetables, wild mushrooms and truffle, and of course knowing me, double the dessert with spiced rice pudding parfait cranberry jelly and caramelised pear with muscovado financier.
I haven't posted on here in a few days because we were busy trying to get organized so we could go on a work holiday. We have a peer group meetings next week, but until then we are going to enjoy a few kid free days.
We arrived in Las Vegas yesterday, and will be here until next Friday. Tonight we are at George Strait which I have wanted to see forever, and tomorrow we go to the NFR.
Thank you to Ron and Lorinda, Sam and Michelle, and Beckie @foodstead for helping watch kids so Chet and I could enjoy this work holiday.
I use to hate running because my high school coach made me believe I suck at it. I also took forever warming up to intimate partners because I got cheated on by one bitch. Some of you may have had a parent or teacher treat you in a way that caused you to lose trust in authority. Maybe an early relationship ending badly made you not open up to anyone else due to the risk of getting hurt again. So many times we block endless potentially good experiences that might affect our lives in a positive way because we had one or two bad experiences. Don't let one experience stir you away from living your life the way you could. Fully!
So we attended to a matter in Jakarta and after one of the meetings we were walking towards the place for lunch and our counsel, who I think is pretty awesome because she clearly knows her stuff and on top of that is stylish and obviously artistically talented suddenly said.. take a picture here because the walkway is quite nice and so we promptly did.
The trip was truly a productive one, getting to know and having conversations with new people from different backgrounds and different perspectives is truly humbling and an eye opener. And of course nothing beats new experiences.
Truly grateful to be part of the team and project which has enabled me to learn so much even though sometimes it is such a pain. But I suppose that just comes with the territory. ❤️ Ps capturing the moments when you’re totally unaware sometimes captures the emotions at the time best and makes it all the more sweeter. ❤️ #worktrip#thejourney#newexperiences#newmemories#humblingexperiences#jakarta#indonesia
I’ll be your sun 🌞 and you’ll be my safe haven🏦
Trying some new editing🥰
Is this ok?

#latergram Korea’s first night ... Friendship, Food, Soju, Speakeasy Bar and the city :) Many more good stories on my first day from the start of the trip. My boss helped preparing me for my Seoul work trip as a first timer. He explained and quickly showed me the part of Seoul on the way to the hotel. Seoul was one of his home and he knew the city well. Already felt welcomed :) Then my old friends ,who happened to be in town on the same night, arrived to see me at the hotel and we all went out for a Korean BBQ. I could drink more soju here and it kept me warm as we walked back to the hotel in -6 degree weather. My eyes adjusted to the new city, landscape and scenes. Speakeasy bar we went to was one of the highlights for Seoul and I will definitely write about it on a different post :) So many #postivevibes The main purpose of this trip was for work however travel always teaches us more about life and allow us to connect to the world and people around us - something much bigger than ourselves.
Seoul as a city inspired me and got me into a creative mood and writing :) After saying good bye to my friends, I went back to my hotel room. I was alone but not lonely. The room was cozy and warm. I felt like home. The turndown service cookies were so delicious and went well with tea. I usually struggle with my first night when I travel. But the bed and cookies at Four Seasons made me sleeping sound and I was mad to receive a wake up call. I didn’t want to get up 😂 Even it was a work trip but I felt recharged. Thank you for positive energy from my colleagues, friendship, Four Seasons, the city and myself. Almost sum it up to the end of my introduction to Seoul 😂 more stories to come #documentyourdays#travel
Just booked a flight for a work trip in March out in Vegas. Added some time to get in some solo explore time. Where to go? Here’s a shot from Canyonlands National Park, UT from a few years ago. Love the Southwestern US. #worktrip#utah#arizona#nevada#travel
Favourite little square of all time 🧡 I always say: Marrakech is not a city where you tick off sights, but city where you wander around and get lost. And that getting lost part is exactly what will happen. Let it in! Wander around in the alleys, mingle with locals and end up at places like this ✨
