#Aparigraha 🧘♀️ I often offer space for students to practice the Art of Letting Go. Most practitioners in my classes are on holiday, so there’s already a desire to release stress and let worries go. Being surrounded by nature allows us to focus on what’s important in life, and realize that we are too focused on material objects. But the art of letting go is so much more than releasing stress and it goes beyond our material accumulations. Yoga offers a beautiful, but often challenging practice called Aparigraha - it translates to non-possessiveness, non-grasping, and non-hoarding. And it invites us to live life from a place of generosity. Accumulating and holding on to not just material things, but also experiences, expectations, and even relationships, makes us heavy, drags us down, and keeps us from healing, growing, and moving forward. Holding on to what no longer serves us is resisting change and keeps us from seeing that something more beautiful could actually be waiting for us. In our physical body it shows up as excess weight, the feeling of heaviness, and carrying all that baggage of past experiences makes our spine round and our shoulders hunch forward, closing our heart chakra, and keeping us from living our lives with an open heart. I know from experience that it’s not easy to practice the art of letting go. Just this past year the universe has given me a lesson by asking me to let go of a dream I had been carrying for many decades. Any by reliving past trauma I hadn’t released. Just when I thought I had finally arrived - my dream was taken away from me. And the more I resisted to letting go, the more I tried to hold on - the more I suffered. It didn’t happen overnight, but when I finally allowed myself to look at my experience from a different perspective, and to think outside the box instead of conforming and reacting the way most people would, that’s when I stared to get glimpse of the beauty and happiness that lie ahead. As with all things, it’s a process, a journey, and one has to allow it to evolve. This is where most people get stuck. How can we let go if we have experienced Trauma? Wow, just coming back down to earth after holding the space for the most wonderfully relaxing yoga weekend retreat in The Peaks district with my yogi sister @rosemary_paradiyoga .
My heart is full to the brim of joy and gratitude today. What a privilege to be able to walk this path and share such profound teachings that can impact and resonate on such a deep level.
This weekend was all about the medicinal power of restorative yoga, satya somatic yoga and yin yoga which are all healing on every level.
That combined with a stunning luxurious venue with a log burner, a huge open plan lounge with views to die for, amazing countryside walks, our very own creative and talented high vibrational chefs @agelessnetwork whom delivered exquisite and rejuvenating food for the soul. All of this gelled together the most beautiful group of people from all walks of life. The coming together of a loving community of beings is why we do what we do. Community, love, caring and sharing is what is often the missing denominator in this world right now and our mission is to rebuild it.

You are freaking crazy scared of not being able to control their reactions because you can’t stand dealing with their rejection of that part of you you think is “bad”, “evil”, “dirty”.❤️❤️

Even thought it was really comfy, a break is always important to build up our strenght and not falling asleep. 💤

Я не гибкая, плохо наклоняюсь, йога не для меня... Знакомо? Сколько раз я слышала разные варианты одного и того же, НО в итоге все оказывалось совсем не так.
Многие просто наклоняются совершенно не в том месте 🤷🏼♀️
ЧТО ВАЖНО ДЛЯ ЖЕНЩИН:
📌 проворот в тазобедренных суставов
📌 сохранять длину по передней поверхности тела в наклоне
📌 сильная поясница без напряжения
📌 раскрытая грудная клетка
📌 свободная шея и «доброе лицо»
ПОМОЩЬ В ПРАКТИКЕ:
- подставка под таз
- лицом к стене
- используя стул
✔️ Вирасана, Поза Воина
✔️ Бадхаконасана, Поза Связанного Угла
✔️ Ардха Падмасана, Половина Лотоса
✔️ Паршватанасана, Поза Интенсивного Бокового вытяжения
ВАЖНО: стопы прижаты, выравниваем таз, бока одинаково длинные, позвоночник сохраняет все естественные изгибы
✔️ Прасарита Падатанасана, Наклон с широкораставленными ногами
ВАЖНО: ноги сильные, наклон в тазобедренных суставах, живот сохраняет свою естественную длину
✔️ Сукхасана, Наклон из Удобной Позы
✔️ Упавишта Конасана, Поза Угла сидя
