Today’s self care tip is a gentle reminder, that there’s more to life than becoming a #bossbabe and while that’s in itself is pretty freaking rad, it’s not necessarily the ONLY thing we should shoot for.
So often I’m caught up in the #ratrace working for someone else’s dreams + making space to make my own to come true, that I forget to live in the present moment.
There’s so much magic in the little details. The micro seconds when your lover is staring into your eyes as he leans in closer for a kiss. The way he brushes my hair away from my face. Or even that moment when your puppy learns a new trick or command.
Maybe I’m just being sentimental, which is completely possible since most of my natal planets are in water signs. But these moments aren’t guaranteed forever. So I’m taking extra time today to just be present 💝 as a present 🎁 to myself + my loves.

I think Sunday is quickly becoming my favorite day.
My mom is visiting from NJ, so I’ve gotten to practice yoga at an actual studio TWICE this week. Yay!! Today, I had the pleasure of taking my own fiancé’s vinyasa flow class @donelsonhotyoga, which is always a fun experience. It felt amazing to sweat and stretch with a room full of yogis after 15 months away from that environment. 🧘🏻♀️ Afterward, we had a delicious lunch @sunflowernashbakehouse with 3 of our best friends before heading home to the kiddos.
It’s already been a fantastic day, and it’s still early. Now, to get out and enjoy the sunshine. 🌤
