So many children are gaining strength and self esteem, to stand up for themselves and other children, to speak about child abuse and share their story. By talking and sharing it’s the first step to healing. This is BIG! Because most of the time the abuse is in the home, by a family member or a close friend of the family. It’s hard for young people to talk about someone, whose suppose to unconditionally LOVE them, NOT HURT THEM! How do they go about, divulging their abuse? Who can they call? Who do they go to? Who will help them? What will happen? Where will they live? What if they don’t believe them? And unfortunately most of the time, when children tell family members they “hush” them because it will shame their family. So, many families choose to hide this abuse and the cycle continues. Years and years of abuse, generation after generation of disgust, because they choose to hide the evil, rather than protect their children. It’s very sad. But, I’m proud of the kids who are breaking the silence and empowering others to do the same! Good for you!!!! For a long time, lovely one, sometimes for many years, even for most of our lives, we don't realise that everything we think is made up.⠀
We're always writing stories, telling ourselves this is what happened, this is why someone said that, this is what that person meant, this is the reason that person doesn't like us, this is why we don't like that person.⠀
We don't realise it's all made up. Or at least most of it. Thing is, we don't actually know, ever, because everything is always way more complex and multi-layered than we could possibly imagine.⠀
We like to simplify, wrap things up, put people in boxes, situations into categories. We can be incredibly lazy that way, and hugely rigid and defended against other possible truths. And that means we close doors that could have opened onto amazing vistas, and are too often afraid of closing doors, because we're so invested in the story that must be a certain way that we can't let it go. ⠀
We write people off, we keep others on pedestals, like life is a fairy tale where everyone is either a goody or a baddy. Not real life at all. ⠀
But here's the thing, brave soul. Here's where the magic lies. Once we can see that we're doing that, life becomes so much more fascinating, so much richer. We develop empathy and compassion, and we expand and grow.⠀
We also discover we have choice about what story we tell ourself, and which adventure we choose to go on.⠀
It's all a series of adventures, after all, tender soul. We come for the adventure and to get to taste different possibilities. ⠀
Make sure you're in the one you really want to be in, lovely one, and keep remembering that you're creating as you go. Choose your story well 💖⠀

Nytt år, nye muligheter! Ja jeg vet det er litt i seneste laget å annonsere nytt år🤣 men sånn ble det bare! 🤪 men kanskje ikke så dumt likevel å bli minna på at det ikke er så alt for lenge siden mange av oss gikk inn i et nytt år fullstendig dedikert til alle nyttårsforsett og løfter om å et bedre «jeg». Så lett å glemme... når hverdagen tar over, inspirasjonen faller og vi har for lengst glemt hvorfor vi starta med det vi gjorde.
Nyttårsforsetter kommer og går, år etter år. Selvhjelpslitteraturen lanserer stadig nye modeller for hvordan vi kan få et nytt og bedre liv. De fleste av oss faller likevel raskt tilbake i gamle mønstre. Det er noe i oss som stritter imot.
De siste tiårenes hjerneforskning har gjort store framskritt med å kartlegge hva som skjer nevrologisk når vi skal etablere nye vaner, hvorfor vi er så påvirkelige og hvorfor det er så vanskelig å endre dårlige vaner.
Det tar TID å tilegne seg gode vaner! De som har forska på det sier det tar minst 30 dager å legge til seg nye vaner. 90 dager før det sitter helt! I mitt tilfelle tror jeg det tar enda litt lengre tid😏 men da er det bare å holde ut, sørge for å ha mennesker i livet sitt som kan hjelpe å minne deg på «the big WHY» og heie deg fremover.
Vi er alle istand til å forme livene våre akkurat slik vi vil! Og til det kreves det innsats og viljestyrke hver dag! 😬 Vi kan hele tiden endre oss! Litt av gangen! Og så litt til. I sum kan det bli en god del. 1% bedre hver dag blir 365% bedre iløpet av ett år! Det blir bra det🤩 vi overvurderer ofte det vi skal få til på kort tid og undervurderer hva vi faktisk kan få til over lang tid!!! 1% bedre hver dag blir knall!!! Og hvordan ser det ut?? ✨WHAT THE FUNK✨
✨Lately I’ve found myself in a bit of a funk. This time of year is always stressful and hard for me. It’s my slow season for work. I’ve been having a really hard time being creative and finding motivation and inspiration. I feel stuck.
✨It’s always this time of the year that I start questioning myself. Am I doing something wrong? Is what I’m doing not enough? Do I need to find a new path for myself? Where do I go from here?
✨It’s different this year having Nora with me. I’m so blessed and thankful to be able to be here at home with her. To be present with her and witness her growth every day. But then sometimes I find myself just feeling really inadequate.
✨Those days where you don’t shower or change out of your pajamas until 1 p.m. When there’s still laundry piles everywhere and birthday presents all over the house from Sunday and you can’t find the energy to do anything about it.
✨I know what I’m doing is important. I know that just by being a Mom today and sucking the snot out of my daughter’s nose and feeding her lunch, that I’m doing an amazing job.
✨But some days I just want to hide at the top of my staircase, close my eyes, take some deep breaths and scroll on my phone for a bit. These are the times not all Moms like to share. The hard moments not featured in the highlights.
✨It’s been difficult trying to learn what my new identity is as a stay-at-home Mom who is trying to grow a couple small businesses. It’s very hard trying to figure out what my next steps are. But I’m getting there slowly and I know in my heart there are bigger and better things for me in the future.
✨One step at a time. Tomorrow is a new and different day. Just thankful for this sweet angel whose slobbery kisses and sweet cuddles keep me going and make it all worth it. 💕

See, tender soul, this is all coming up for healing. Asking to be felt and honoured, and then to be let go. To be released. To be transmuted.
Let the Universe take care of it now. Turn it into compassion, understanding. Wisdom. Let this moment of not being okay touch all other moments of not okayness - yours and others.
Let it lead you to a place of truly seeing that none of us are okay. Not really. Not deep down. That we're all just doing our best with what we've got, where we are, as a result of what we've known.
And let yourself fall effortlessly into the Oneness of it all. The not okayness, and the courage and the beauty and the trying against all the odds.
And let it soften you, gentle soul. Let it break you open. Let it give you permission to just be human. Gloriously and honestly human, in all its rawness and brilliance.
It's okay not to be okay. For each and every one of us, that's okay. We've forgotten who we are for a while, and that's incredibly hard.
But underneath, right in the core of us, is the Oneness we all are. And in moments of wide openness, we can see it.
I've heard it said that whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. It's bologna. Whether or not you're ready to acknowledge it, you most certainly can. But here's the kicker: IT'S YOUR CHOICE. So you’ve had your share of mistakes, failures and setbacks? But I believe champions are made in the fourth quarter. That means what you’ve done up until now may have impacted your life in great ways, but it doesn’t mean you have to live in defeat.
Have you ever seen a basketball game where the losing team seemed to have no chance for turning things around. Yet, somehow in the last quarter they start dominating the court and catching up, shot after shot, and actually winning the championship.

You know what I REALLY love about being a single Mom? I give my kids my presence a whole lot easier! 🥰My heart is wide open for my little ones and every moment is so cherished. Without having a significant other to invest time into has made me a better Mom during this season of life. 🌱 Sure, sometimes it’s not easy 🤯 but we definitely create what we want each moment to be. ❤️Now they get more quality time with me and with their dad (whose a great one!) and I’m able to be even more attentive, catch the loveliest moments and be all in for any sad or angry or scary ones too. 😉 @erikspain would agree on this one, we are experiencing a lot of unexpected beauty from the changes in our family. No matter what it looks like, we are still family and love each other.
So grateful to have THE BEST job on this earth. While this guy sleeps, I MAKE MONEY. WHAT? Sometimes I have to stop and remember how BLESSED I truly am, because it has been so long since I worked a “normal job”. For those of you who don’t know my story, I was a Dental Hygienist when I joined Scentsy. It was SCENTSY that allowed me to QUIT that job to pursue something I TRULY LOVED and chase my dreams. As a 22 year old newlywed, I took a HUGE CHANCE and it changed my life. If you’re out there thinking “I wish there was something MORE out there for me” or “I just wish there was something I could do for ME” or “I wish I could help my husband contribute but still spend time with my babies” then GIRLFRIEND, LET’S CHAT! 🌟You are exactly where you are supposed to be! 🌟⠀
For years I always felt like I should be “there” since I am doing this or that…. But guess what?!?!? You are exactly where you need to be!🙌 You have to be where you are and go on the journey to be where you want to go…the lessons you learn along the way are the keystones you build on.⠀
✨It’s like when you start a new job. When I think back to my first job and how “green” 💚I was I know over the years I have grown in mind and skills. It’s why legal work is second nature to me now. ⠀
✨When you are trying to lose weight and you see the airbrushed photos of someone and think I will be happy when I look like that… the hard truth is - 👉No you won’t! 👈If you are not happy where you are now, that's not going to make you happy. So let’s say you aren’t happy where you are now and that’s why you want to change, well as you go through the process and journey of losing weight I suggest two things… celebrate every non-scale victory - pant size is down, you did not have the donut or cookie in the break room, you meal prepped for the first time. And secondly - start practicing gratitude and be grateful every day for this body you have. 💜⠀

🌟Growing a business is tough! Being an entrepreneur or part of network marketing - when you treat it like the business it is, it is not easy! Appreciate where you are now and as you grow (with the sweat you put into the business aka “sweat equity”) you can look back at how far you have come and be even more grateful! It’s the journey! 💜My friends, I did not know this before I dug deep into personal development. It’s one of the vital behaviors I do every single day! ⠀

So you’ve got your plan, you’ve done your healthy shop, you’ve got your new active wear, and you really want to have success, but then life happens.
You have to stay late at work, a family commitment comes up, your tired, the kids take AGES to eat their dinner or wake up early when you want to work out.
You know what- that’s life! That will ALWAYS be the case. But you have got to tackle that, don’t expect things to work out the way you want them too perfectly. Expect failures, expect things to crop up but it’s how you deal with those obstacles that matters.
Don’t just park up, don’t just quit, don’t see it as a wall you can’t tackle, don’t say your not worth the effort because you so are. We are ALL busy and are dealing with our own pressures, but why not this time be open to doing what you can and KEEP GOING!
Daily habits, small steps, just keep trying. It will all add up. Stay focused on your future, your goals, yourself. Imagine in January 2021 you don’t have any new year new me resolutions because you’ve proved to yourself this year you are the happiest healthiest version of YOU 🥰
FYI...losing a bunch of body fat will not solve all of your problems and make you fart glitter and rainbows. You will not be infinitely happy regardless of what size pants you wear.
My physical health (cholesterol dropped 97 points 🥳) and energy levels are 110% improved. Still working on the mental aspect. I have anxiety problems, I don't sleep as much as I should and stress follows me around like a stalker you see in those Lifetime movies.
I might not be able to predict what life throws my way, but I can control how I react. Exercise is a great stress reliever. I can forget about the insanity that is my daily grind for a while, and focus on becoming stronger. 💪 Treating myself to some chocolate as part of my evening snack helps. I'm also thinking about downloading a meditation app.
Even on days like this when I'm not emotionally 100%, I know it's just temporary. So if you're having a rough day, hang in there. It gets better. #transformationtuesday#itgetsbetter#dontletanxietywin#hugs
