We held a 2-day medical brigade over the weekend and it was incredible!
With the help of our September DTS, Bible School students, staff, and local medical volunteers, we were able to help over 200 people! We had dentists, hair-cuts, free eye glasses, doctors, physical therapists, and lots of kids ministry.

It is a miracle that I am here. God worked something amazing together to bring me to YWAM Muizenberg. Before I did my DTS in Rwanda, God gave me the word that He was bringing me into a 3 1/2 year season of training. I didn’t know what this meant, and it wasn’t until I was doing my DTS that I learned I would be walking this journey in the University of the Nations. I wanted to do SBS, but had no money. I didn’t have a visa or the funds for flights, but God said “Go”, so I trusted Him.
I worked for 2 months and used what little money I had to pay for a visa. This process took weeks longer than it was supposed to, and I lost hope that I would be able to come. The embassy didn’t understand the purpose of why I was going to South Africa, and it seemed they would’t figure out what visa to give me. Finally, after weeks of waiting, a miracle happened! Not only did they grant me a visa; but it is for one year, even though I had only applied for a 3 months one! Shortly after, a friend called and told me they would pay for my flights to Cape Town. Two miracles in such short time! This was God’s favour with me, as I was obedient to His command.
SBS has been so good, and I’ve been so blessed with wonderful friends and staff who are helping me to grow in this journey of knowing God better, as he is unfolding the scriptures for me. -

"Not knowing the language in Japan for me was a challenge. Obviously not speaking Japanese and not even English. It was a challenge to try and communicate without using words. But I could really see how God was using me, how God was speaking through me as I tried to share the gospel the best way I could. I was really confused and not very understood by the Japanese people. I believe that truth demands a response.
It was during my own School of Biblical Studies (SBS) in Sunshine Coast, Australia that I knew I wanted to staff an SBS one day. I received so much truth during my SBS, and knew I had a responsibility to share what I had learned. So now here I am, in South Africa, responding to that truth. This has been a turning point in my life — coming to do a DTS with YWAM Muizenberg. I came here with a broken heart, but now I am filled with Gods heart.
This week in class learning about God’s grace has been very emotional for me. I’ve cried a lot, and have been seeking God in the middle of this. I’m discovering how He is my father, mother, and friend. Even when my earthly parents may have forsaken me — my God never will.
Growing up, my father was an alcoholic and used to beat me. But by the grace of God when I first arrived to DTS, I heard from my family that he has stopped drinking and started going to church! Just as God has had grace and forgave me for my past life mistakes; I have been learning every day to walk in the same grace and forgive my father. This is what grace means for me: to walk in forgiveness, and be able to share this testimony. -
