Is anyone else losing complete track of what day and time it is?! ⏰📆 I don’t know whether it’s a good or bad thing. 😅 At least we’re getting some nice weather. ☀️ Roll on Easter and the Bank Holiday! 🐣 #ChildwallCottage#Airbnb#Ireland#Easter
"In rivers, the water that you touch is the last of what has passed and the first of that which comes; so with present time."Leonardo da Vinci "Woda, której dotykasz w rzece, jest ostatkiem tej, która przeszła, i początkiem tej, która przyjdzie; tak samo teraźniejszość." Leonardo da Vinci
May the May the roadroad rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, And rains fall soft upon your fields rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, And rains fall soft upon your fields.
Deswegen lautet meine kleine Schummel-Antwort: Irlands Küsten.
In desperate need of a breath of fresh air… the kind I found here in the Emerald Isle. ☘️
With its location on the west of Europe, Ireland’s the first to receive clean air from the Atlantic. It was also the first stop on my eurotrip last summer - partly for that reason, partly for my friends (and partly for the fantasy of running into Cillian Murphy)... 🌝
I’ll never forget the hike up to the Cliffs. The journey began at 7 AM, not-so-bright and early. The strong winds and gray skies forecasted a gloomy day ahead. From the tour bus leaving early without us, to @ruthrozario ringing the customer service line to filth, to actually having the bus driver come back to pick us up, we were cold, off schedule, and hated by all the passengers.
4 hours and 1 catfight later, we finally made it to the Cliffs of Moher… and it was nowhere to be seen. With foggy skies and pouring rain, we had 30 minutes to make it up top, 30 minutes to ‘explore’, and 30 minutes to run back to the bus. Suffice to say, I didn’t have much hope… but that changed about halfway through the hike, when the rain started to hold up. Skies began to clear and the Cliffs finally came out of hiding. ☀️
Being in the midst of abundant landscapes, surrounded by adorable animals, and breathing in the pure, unpolluted air flowing off the Atlantic Ocean was an experience I could only describe as sensational. Literally... my senses opened up. My asthmatic self was THRIVING. Stuffy nose and tight chest? Don’t know ‘em 🧘🏽♀️
Having to spend most of my time inside really has me craving fresh air more than ever before. While I very much miss the days I could roam the world without feeling paranoid or guilty, I’m equally as grateful for the impact this sudden shift in society has had on our planet. 🌏
From the massive global drop in air pollution to Venice’s canals being the clearest in over 60 years, mother nature is flourishing… I’m really hoping that once the world reemerges, we will have learned how to better work with her instead of against. 🍃✨
✨Reminiscing about marking an item off our travel bucket list. It was such an Incredible experience going on a Hawk walk around the Ashford Castle grounds and learning about these magnificent creatures✨

My plans for next time at the Black River is wild river kayaking with Nathan from #outdoorsireland
From the sketchbook: Made this little gouache painting of a beautiful door front I spotted in Howth. The white flowers made such a perfect cover over the blue door. I actually stood there watching it for a couple of minutes before moving on. Swipe to see some more pics of Howth. The 4th photo is of WB Yeats’ home. Which is your fav door?
This particular illustration will be available as postcard and notebooks soon 😊 DM to order.

The Doolough Valley, County Mayo ~ Driving through Doolough Valley is an unique experience. It is embedded in a mountainous landscape of unspoilt nature, with two lakes on whose eastern shores the Wild Atlantic Way winds its way through the valley.
A cross can be found on the northern edge of the valley, dedicated to the victims of the “Doolough Tragedy”. During the Great Famine in 1849, hundreds of people made their way from Louisburgh to Delphi Lodge, threatened by starvation, to ask their lord for food. Their suffering was ignored, they were turnt away and a lot of them died on the return to Louisburgh in Doolough Valley from malnutrition.
“How can men feel honoured by the humiliation of their fellow beings?” This question of Mahatma Ghandi is engraved in the cross. 📸 @garethwrayphotography 👉🏻 follow @road_trip_ireland 👉🏻 follow @road_trip_ireland 👉🏻 follow @road_trip_ireland
