New European Court Ruling
The European Court of Justice has ruled in favour of passengers in the latest case of delayed flights.
Previously EU carriers were only reponsible for compensation if their flight was arriving or departing from the EU.
In this latest case 11 passengers had booked a flight with Czech Airlines departing Praque to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi.
The second leg of the trip was delayed by 8 hours.
The court ruled that Czech Airlines did owe the passengers travel delay compensation even though the airline argued that it couldn't be held responsible for delays caused by partner airlines.
