This Azabujuban (Tokyo) neighborhood restaurant had 20 year run before burning down from a fire from the establishment next door. Horyuin Garden is a “Chisenkaiyu-shiki” garden created in 1863 by the 12th Tottori feudal lord Yoshinori Ikeda.
He created it to cheer up Horyuin, who became a widow at age 17 upon her husband (the 11th feudal lord) Yoshitaka’s sudden death. He was also 17.
With Renaissance-inspired Jinpukaku in view, you can enjoy both Western and Japanese worlds at once🏰🏯
