Monica Goldson (‘18), CEO of @pgcps has ushered in a new culture of transparency, accountability, and academic excellence during her tenure. One of the greatest challenges educators face today is decreasing the #digitaldivide , to ensure that all students regardless of their race or socioeconomic status have appropriate access to #education during this pandemic and beyond. The plan for how we might reopen schools in the fall plays a vital role in ensuring we can #rebuild our region's economy. Yet the question remains: how can we best keep families safe and healthy while giving every student the opportunities they deserve? Teachers, parents, and community members: let's engage (tomorrow at 2pm). LINK IN BIO. #ourcommunity#teachers#educators#access#schools#childcare#virtuallearning#pgcpsproud#princegeorgescounty

Vous connaissez tous l’expression « quand le sage désigne la lune, l’imbécile regarde le doigt ». Elle me revient souvent quand je vois tout ces gens qui ne regardent plus le monde qu’à travers un écran. #declin ? .
Assuming the process is automatic - In the case of a 529 plan, you must request that the funds be withdrawn and direct them accordingly. Check with your 529 plan to verify the options. Typically, you can direct the funds to the school, beneficiary (student), or to the owner (parents). In all cases, you must initiate the withdrawal.

“Personal growth is not a matter of learning new information but unlearning old limits.” Alan Cohen.
One of our fundamental values at Mane Haus is growth through education. Yesterday we had the opportunity to learn color techniques from someone who is likeminded in that mentality and it was a JOY to host her. (@carleejo.locks). Keep educating yourself. Keep growing. Keep adapting to the best version of yourself. You are WORTH IT.

BLACK LIVES MATTER.
Nobody deserves to feel oppressed. Nobody deserves to not have access to the same fundamental rights as others. Nobody deserves to feel unworthy of love. Nobody should feel like they need to hide themselves to avoid causing trouble. Nobody should feel unable to truly express their feelings towards a situation in fear of being judged or mistreated. Nobody deserves to live, ashamed of his skin colour. NOBODY DESERVES TO LIVE IN FEAR. Nobody deserves to feel unequal. Racism needs to stop once and for all. Don’t think your powerless over this subject because you’re not. If you have questions on this matter, educate yourself by reading books, watching movies or even starting the conversation with your peers. If you hear racists comments, stand up for what you believe in and make the misinformed people learn about it or help them learn about it. It’s everyone’s responsibility to learn and find ways to make this world more equal every day. If you think this doesn’t concern you well you’re wrong. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to not be racist and to not favour the opinions of misinformed and uneducated people. Let’s be strong and united together. Do not chose silence but justice. United we can obtain it. Every action counts. Thank you @sacree_frangine for this beautiful art representation of united black women. 🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛 ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ #blacklivesmatter#equal#united#movement#blog#love#selflove#justice#georgefloyd#peace#equality#blm#femaleempowerment#feminist#feminism#womanceomindset#inspiring#inspire#change#wecandothis#unite#power#world#racism#art#education#educateyourself

❤️🤣 I'm not sure what to do, but I know this right here can do a lot, love and a good laugh.❤️🤣
I'm not black but I know our justice system is some bull💩 I can only imagine what it's like to be truly oppressed; I've not experienced it directly. Because of this, I'm not sure what actions I can take to encourage a solution, other than signing petitions, continuing to treat everybody with respect and to start talking about it, because a large part of the problem is silence. So let's dig deeper here and have some conversations. .
I see this being resolved with time and each person making a commitment to themselves to continually reflect and do the self-work necessary to not only live a happier, healthier and safer life TOGETHER but so we can break the chains ⛓ of generational trauma, one link at a time. The sins of the father don't have to be the sins of the son.
Mental health, pass it on and EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY DAMNIT
Graduation celebration with a #gradcaravan for my daughter was fun. We may be going through some strange times yet there are some happy times to be had with friends and family. Thanks #iacdst for your presence and support #classof2020

The stock market crash of March 2020 took an enormous toll on global economies. Most G20 countries saw an economic downturn of 30% as a result of the global shutdown & widespread panic caused global health crisis. Despite of its rising back up over the past weeks, many fear that we haven’t seen the last of its impact on Wall Street. Here are 5 reasons why this could happen.
1. A second wave of illness-Regardless of where you stand, the current lack of vaccine means there’s is at least a chance of countries being hit with a second wav. Health officials & organizations around the world are warning of an impending "second wave," a repeated increase in the numbers of new instances of infection.
2. Irreversible damage to small businesses- Despite government help, many small businesses are struggling to keep afloat & many others have already been forced to cut down on staff or close down entirely. A continued decrease in small business activity will cause unemployment levels to remain elevated, negatively impacting the economy.
3. Unemployment will continue for longer than the crisis itself- Even once the threat has passed, we can’t realistically expect everything to go back to the way it was before. Even in an optimistic scenario, it will take months for businesses to return to full capacity & new companies to reolace those that didn't survive.
4. Unreliable earnings per share estimates- EPS estimates are the primary tool for investors to determine the potential success of a company. Without accurate EPS it's impossible to reliably estimate whether its best to sell, buy or hold a stock. Experts warn that current EPS estimates are not reflective of the real value of stocks, with as much as half of all EPS estimates taking the economic impact of the crisis into account. In effect, many stocks appear cheaper than they actually are, leading to potentially catastrophic decisions on investors’ part.
5. Reduction in stock buybacks- Stock buybacks or share repurchases essentially allow companies to re-invest money into themselves. In the process, the company absorbs the repurchased shares, reducing the number of outstanding shares on the market.
