Yesterday was National Day here in the United Arab Emirates, which meant huge celebrations to mark 48 years since the joining of the seven emirates which make up the UAE today.
It meant massive firework displays, spectacular air shows and gridlock on the roads as thousands of people took to the streets in their cars with horns blaring and flags waving.
