My Mercury Retrograde Mood. Seriously though when you feel like you can’t just can’t get it right don’t give up. We’re given so many signs and tools at hand but we just have to pay attention and not be so hard on ourselves. This mercury retrograde I thought would be like all others and I figured I would be defeated, drained, and back at square one. Not this time though I really took it all in and sat with my emotions and things that were coming up. I worked through so many things in just a short two weeks and honestly I’m so ready for the next mercury retrograde. Things happen but you can also get through them and Let go to move forward. As mercury retrograde is coming to an end in the next few days we enter the shadow period take the time to reflect on everything you just felt and went through.💜 P.s Thanks universe for sending me “The New Earth - Eckhart Tolle” I recommend everyone to read it. .
Have you ever talked yourself out of a blessing?
My son loves dinosaurs 🦖 I don’t just mean that he prefers them to his other toys. No, he loves them in a would-rather-watch-a-paleontology-documentary-than-cartoons kind of way. He can name more dinosaurs than I even knew existed. But here’s the thing, he doesn’t love all dinosaurs. Sure, he loves his toy dinosaurs and the ones we see on tv but when he’s face to face with a dinosaur that’s bigger than he is, which to be fair is not all that often, he’s singing a different tune!
This isn’t a new discovery for us. We frequent museums so we’ve grown accustomed to the cycle.
Excitement > Fear > Run
It wasn’t until after our last trip to @museumofscience that I really started to think about that cycle and how it so closely resembles the cycles that we- some of us more often than others- experience with God.
Let me paint a picture: When we take Phoenix to the museum he’s grateful and excited! That is, until we’re just around the corner from the life size T-Rex. He knows that what he’s been waiting for is right around the corner and all of a sudden that excitement turns into fear and doubt. He trusts us to keep him safe but still, at the first sight of that T-Rex in the distance, he wriggles his little hand right out of mine and makes a mad dash for the exit (don’t worry, he doesn’t get very far 😉). Can’t it be the same with our blessings sometimes? We pray and prepare and get so excited because we just know God is going to open doors for us 🙌🏻 But then, as we’re about to cross that threshold, fear and doubt rear their ugly heads and our fight or flight instinct kicks in. :: Can I do this? I’m not good enough. What if I fail? :: Friends! God will most definitely call us into places that are too big for us but, rest assured, no place, position or opportunity is too big for Him. He knows you’re scared and He says that it’s OK - just so long as you run toward Him and not away from all that He has destined for you!
Remember, God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called. So if He is calling you, walk confidently. He’s walking with you, babe.

Petra was on my travel wish list for years. Due to political conflicts in the Middle East I have to postponed this trip many times. Finally, I was able to enjoy this incredible treasure in Jordan. So happy!! •
We just got back from a two week trip exploring the Falkland Islands and its abundant wildlife. Led by our local guide Dale and famous photographer Rick Tomlinson we experience the best the Falklands have to offer. Above is a selection of the wildlife we encountered, including Orcas at Sea Lion Island!
So I could feel alive again, one time I blend in the pastel. You shine so bright. I am lost without the lights.

There something to be said about making it to the top all my yourself that is invigorating and empowering. That’s not just to be found in hiking but in life. Climbing our way to the top without any added help, getting lost in our battles along the way and suffering through to see the beautiful outcome when we reach the top. #solotravel#leaves#fall#nature#hiking#hike#adventures
