for her the ocean was more than a dream it was a place
she needed to visit to find herself.
It is hard for me to express exactly how standing by the sea makes me feel. It almost feels like being home. Like part of me belongs there. Life seems simple and freeing. Natural in general brings out a clarity in my life but no where can quite compare to the sensation I feel beside the ocean shore. I could breathe in the calming salt air and listen to the rhythm of the waves crashing forever.
Comment below if you are as in love with the sea as me! ♡

Lately I've been struggling with a recurring injury in my right knee. It just never healed properly after the Death Race, and now my IT band is inflamed where it passes over my femur. I took the last week off running and am getting dry needling to release the tension in my hip flexors. Today I had a trial run, and by 10km the pain was extreme. As a result, I'm hanging up my running shoes until I get back to NZ. Three weeks to stretch and strengthen before reassessing the situation, and 6 weeks until I head to Stewart Island. Trying very hard not to worry. Que sera sera!
A little while ago I went to meet some friends at a local climbing crag. I got lost and ended up miles away, and it was beautiful. So this week I went back to get lost in Hidden Valley without an agenda. No one to meet, nowhere to be. It was blowing a gale on the tops, but absolutely worth it for this incredible view and the slice of solitude!

Day 2 was amazing as well. There were too many places to photo and much more trails to walk. Here are only essential ones and a wonderful sunset
The vegan food options in Berlin are definitely on point! The places we visited were Quy Nguyen (failed to find their IG), @brammibalsdonuts, @vegdfood and @viaskoberlin and they were all worth trying if you are ever in Berlin! The Viasko brunch in the Kreutzberg area was one of the best buffets I have tried!

Loved showing my Mom, Aunt and Cousin around #Seattle . Really been happy with how things have been between my Mom and I these past few weeks. 😻
