• Sunday • even though I’ve not been out this weekend I’m still looking forward to getting into bed tonight! We have got into the latest peaky blinders series and couldn’t stop watching it last night! I must be tired as I didn’t even notice that bloody lead sticking out from under the bed until now! 😆🙈 .
I’ve included a few before pics of this room (swipe to see) and proud to say I took out those built in wardrobes all by myself! I didn’t plaster the walls or paint this room but I played my part in its makeover!! 💁🏼♀️
The yellow is on its way out!! The prepping always seems to take ages, but we’ve got the champagne in the fridge as a Saturday evening treat once all the hard work is done. 🥂 🍾 I can’t wait to get the colour on the walls!
Ahh Saturdays *italian chef kiss*
We’re here until 5pm today and then back on Tuesday!
Our sales are still going strong, but just a heads up that next week is your last week to get 20% off all @bludot! No pressure, but it won’t happen again until next October 👻

A simple autumn update for our front porch 😊🍂🍁 Wreaths are from @roxannesdriedflowers and I love how organic and unique they look. They are real, preserved leafs! My mums are from Costco and took up my whole Costco cart, so I had to make a separate run later just for eggs and organic greens. But still, worth it!
We’ve been working on #therespeckireno for a year and a half and have had soooo many weekend projects in that time. But I still think one of the most transformational things we did was paint the exterior of this midcentury beauty. We have a (much older) neighbor that walks by and frequently stops by to tell us as much. 😊 I’m happy to have that convo with him a million times over. (For the record, we’re usually doing boring homeowner upkeep when he comes by, NOT having this American Gothic moment @harmonyinhappenstance captured for us last fall.😜)
This weekend’s project? Finally painting the shed in @behrpaint’s Starless Night to match the house! (I WILL get rid of all the beige around here one day!) Posting our progress in stories today if you want to follow along.☝️
And swipe to see the before—a sad version of the little yellow house emoji 🏡 —plus a couple before shots of the shed that’s about to get a makeover!💄
What a lovely day, I found a new interior star to obsess and adore, it's @liz_kamarul for @sazerac_stitches and she is quite wonderful. With that little ficus lyrata in the corner I also announce that I just got two!
I feel this gives a mix between the 70s vibe and mid century design.
In other news I'm absolutely itching to do some home makeovers at the moment but my husband really isn't keen on letting me loose around the house with a drill and some paint, he just doesn't have 'the vision' that I do. Anyone else have to get their other half to sign off on interior decisions? 😬
Happy Friday!! Today's been a day of preparing for my first group show at @theartisanspalate in December. I think I've got down the layout and inches down. Next step....get to painting. This is going to be my first time ever having prints of my work.....like printed.

Moving is a big stress for most of us! Here are some tips to make your move a little more enjoyable 🙌
1. Before packing, declutter! There is no need to move items that are no longer needed, damaged, and obviously don't spark any joy!
2. So you don't get overwhelmed start by packing least used items first. For example, basement, garage, photo frames, artwork, books, decorations, etc.
3. Keep similar items together! For example kitchen items should be packed with kitchen items, books with books, shoes with shoes, etc. This makes unpacking a lot easier.
4. Pack items you will need immediately in your new space in a suitcase or designated box so that you can have easy access to them in your new home. For example, toiletries, bed linens, some clothes, chargers, snacks etc.
5. I take the extra step to label my boxes not only with a general label i. e. KITCHEN but I'll also add bullet points of smaller items in the boxes so if I really need something I can quickly identify which box it's in i.e. Sewing box, iron, dumbbells, humidifier, etc.
Honestly, my @youngliving Thieves Oil and this new Thieves Hand Purifier is as essential to Fall as pumpkin spiced lattes are 🍁 With cold and flu season right around the corner, I’ve got my Thieves Oil diffusing daily and never leave home without this magic stuff. Been using @youngliving oils for over ten years now and I’m a believer. I don’t want to jinx us, but with the help of these concoctions, fingers crossed we will stay healthy during these next few months like we have in the past 🤞🏻 #ThievesTheDay ✨

IT’S FRIDAY’S FEATURE PRESENTATION & let me just say for the record some of the most fascinating & globally multidimensional homes on the Gram are found in the Great State of Texas. You’ll thank me in advance as this beaut otherwise known as @cherokeesoulvintage is one of them & ‘tis one I might add which cannot fully be appreciated w/out a willy-nilly whirly-twirly rabbit-hole tumble into ALL THE PICCYS which rarely repeat in terms of subject matter or angle. Lead proprietress-in-chief & domestic goddess Morgan runs this color & texture-rich rock n roll fantasy abode which she shares w/ musician hubs Ryan, 3 lovely daughters + 3 kitties ranging in personality from gangsta to snuggle bunny (the couple also has a grown son). The Houston-area home is a French-inspired 70’s custom jobby which the couple bought a yr ago & have been making their own ever since & oh what a delight it is to watch this unfold (take a peek @ Morgan’s Foyer Refresh highlight & behold one v fab & super-duper layered amalgamation of fuchsia & many vintage curiosities sitting happily alongside globally-inspired odds & ends + so much chip chip chippy chic treatment on walls & woodwork). In a prior life, Morgan was a remodeling contractor, custom painter & vintage seller & now homeschools her girls & plows through 10-20 books a month as she’s a voracious reader who draws much design inspo from historical & fantasy fictional influences which is v evident via the intrigue & suggestiveness swirling like purple mountain majesty thru her enchanting & v worldly home. Her style obvs is eclectic but its idiosyncrasy is in the execution as it’s one masterful blend of Mexican, Native American & southwest w/ some chippy farmhouse, boho, mid mod, French & NOLA thrown in just so no one gets bored probably ever. So of course, Morgan is a pro hunt & gather thrifter (90% of the home is done in vintage & 2nd-hand) who spends as much time curb surfing as she does @ estate sales to create an eclectic masterpiece which friends aptly describe as “weird but awesome.” I’m defo smitten w/ this acct & think you will be too, so give this lovely lady a follow & enjoy many dives into Wonderland. 🦋🦋🦋
A visit with friends on the first level and a place to perch for a skyline view on the second: this traditional southern-style home will certainly be a legacy in the Augusta Rd area for generations to come. 🎨:// @amandalouiset
It’s Fri-YAY!! I’ve got my coffee, my laptop and I’m ready for a productive day working from home!
BTW, these nightshirts are perfect for lounging, uber comfortable, cute and super inexpensive!
Make it a good one, y’all 😊
