Sandy and Mo’s European Adventure Day 1: Switzerland!
Flew over the pond last night and ended up in Zurich this morning and hit the ground running. Took the train up to Uetliberg (picture 2) for some amazing views of Zurich. Headed to Lucerne (picture 1) for dinner and the beautiful Christmas lights on the lake! What a day! Ready for Basel tomorrow!

Beautiful day at this fairy town 🏰
The initial plan for this day was to visit Grindelwald First for their winter activities such as skiing, sliding etc. But upon getting to the cable cars, we realised no one’s working. There was a big banner saying that ALL operations were stopped until two/three days later after we leave due to the change of Summer/Winter seasonal activities. My face turned from 😁 to 🥵 because it was definitely one of the main destinations of our trip. No wonder there were little tourists in town during our stay!.
Travel Lesson of the Day: Do your homework on what activities you plan to do SPECIFICALLY with EVERY detail possible before you go to any outdoor-activity-heavy town. The opening time, closing time, date, when, where, weather, what, who, how, EVERYTHING. .
I kind of knew something weird was going on when I read on the activities website but I don’t think it said it clear enough that it was change of season-break time. Anyhow, if you don’t understand a touristy website, before you give up, give a call! 😁
Nevertheless, we had an amazing time exploring this small town that we probably wouldn’t had time to otherwise. 🥰
#TheKweenLife
ᵃᵈ L A U S A N N E 😍 First stop on our Swiss adventures with @preferredhotels, and my first time exploring this pretty city! We've spent the day gazing longingly into the windows of chocolate shops, sipping vin chaud (yummmmy!) and admiring all the festive decorations! 🎄 We also had lunch in the gorgeous winter chalet at our hotel @royalsavoylausanne - one of the cosiest spots in the city right now, and then warmed up in the beautiful hotel spa! ❤️ Don't forget, you can check out all the behind the scenes action on my Story! Any fave spots in Switzerland? 🇨🇭 #ThePreferredLife

Swiss villages started promoting honesty shops that work on an honor system. The process is fairly simple: take the products that were left on the shelves guarded neither by a seller nor any camera, and leave the money in the honesty box.
Bern, the capital city of Switzerland, is built around a crook in the Aare River. It traces its origins back to the 12th century, with medieval architecture preserved in the Altstadt (Old Town). The Swiss Parliament and diplomats meet in the Neo-Renaissance Bundeshaus (Federal Palace). Visit this beautiful place in Switzerland with #Travelhub
I always used to think life was about meeting someone at the end of every bridge, but now I know to expect to find no one. I walk alone, arrive alone, leave alone, but it doesn’t have to be lonesome because my spirit is part of everyone and everything. I just have to raise my vibration towards other planes; I’m never truly alone, not truly.
