Is it an impeachable offense to defecate in your owner’s shoes? To climb on the table and eat the dinner guest’s salmon straight off the plate? To use your official position to blackmail smaller dogs into giving you a political advantage over your rivals? Luckily for us, dogs can’t fall as low as humans, and know instinctively that the love between them is enough to overcome almost any transgression (which, again, can’t always be said for humans). We are so excited to announce that Charlie has joined our rescue! Charlie came to us from a shelter. She is approximately 2-4 years old. She is a quirky girl who can be snappy. She does not like to be touched along her spine at all, and if not approached very gently, can be aggressive. She can also be very loving, though.
She will do better with women as she lunged and snapped once at her foster dad when he approached her. However, she growls occasionally at almost anyone if approached quickly/loudly or if she is touched in a way she doesn’t like. She does okay with the super submissive, older resident female dog but will growl if she walks by when Charlie is chewing a bone. Charlie definitely needs to be separated while eating.
She loves antlers and Nylabones. However, she will scrape up her mouth on the Nylabones if they are well chewed. She does not do well riding in the car. She also has issues with “dribbling”....she tries to hold her urine and will pee outdoors but if not diapered, will make small puddles and leak pee as she walks along. She poops outside unless her person is not reading her cues; then, she will have a poop accident inside the home.
Her foster mom feels confident that progress can be made in her temperament and behaviors. Charlie is quite endearing with her head tilt, wonky gait and crooked tongue sticking out. She is a bit of a diva and very lovable. She is a Velcro pup who will start to whine when her foster mom is out of sight. Her crooked kisses are worth all their weight in gold! ❤️
We greatly appreciate any and all donations….$250 will help us provide Bebe with some basic essentials, such as food, bowls, a harness and a leash. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation towards Charlie’s care here: http://frenchbulldogvillage.net/donate/ 🐾
