Make money, money! You all know I’ve been decluttering the house like crazy post-holidays and I’ve been obsessed with using an app I found called Mercari to help me sell things I don’t wear or use anymore and make MONEY! Mercari is this selling app that makes it fast and easy to sell almost anything - clothes, toys, household items. Listing is fast and really easy. You take a few pics, add a description, set a price - and boom - your items are listed. And when my item sells, the Mercari peeps email me a shipping label that I use to send. Check out Mercari on the app stores or go to my stories for a swipe up link to get started. #ad#mercari

Day 17- Flower power
Or should that be the power of flowers? 💐 Very grateful to the beautiful humans that sent me flowers today. I can’t thank you all enough. I’m now snuggled on the sofa with the pugs and I’ve just eaten a whole slab of dairy milk! What a pig! Oink x
The windows we install are very customizable, so you get exactly what you want. You'll get to pick your window shape, style, glass type & efficiency, stain color for the window border, and the hardware on your window. One of the latest selections is the new matte black color - so classy!

What’s the perfect spot for this sink?
Imagine it’s yours where will you install it?
Waking up in the mountains today with fresh snow coming down is a dream come true! It’s just so gorgeous, Winter Wonderland at it’s finest. ❄️❄️
My husband is off to ski with the kids for his birthday, so I’m taking some time to get inspired about design work while my little one watches a movie. I’ll be sourcing some decor for our #powderroom vanity (finally!). .
Coffee. ☕️ Snowy Mountain views. 🏔
Frozen on repeat. 👸
A Perfect Friday. 🖤

One of my favorite things about cats is how they have different "spots" that change every so often. They'll favor a chair, or a corner of the sofa, or a bed for a few days or weeks, and then you'll randomly find them cozying up on another spot for some time.

Coffee, tea, or juice...how do you start your day? We are noticing a shift in clients that are becoming more conscious in their ‘decantables’, requesting more glass over plastic use. And these glass jars are effective, attractive and affordable. Tell us, do you have a preference in storage when it comes to your home? #firstname.lastname@example.org#liketkit http://liketk.it/2JeS6
🍹Relax by the infinity pool, listen to the birds, and take in the gorgeous bush outlook from this beautifully secluded property, offering a superb lifestyle plus a separate fully self-contained cottage.

The orange boy. Shemmy dog. My daily companion and the reason I get out for a walk everyday; today he’s my post for @storyofmyhome because there are strictly no dogs allowed on the sofas. He’s worked out this means he can claim the old brown leather pouffe as his snuggle spot; it’s not technically a sofa right? He’s sprained his foot and it’s pouring with rain here, so today we will stay cosy inside while I make plans for the new en-suite! 🙌🏽 #nodogsallowed

Happy Friday Insta Gang 🥰.... Who else thought that week was a flash?⚡️
Sometimes it’s good to take it slower which I always find a challenge and this ‘reflection’ was a real reminder of just that.....🤭
I’m in the house almost 3 years and last weekend when I wasn’t feeling the best I had no choice to take it slower and this was the FIRST TIME that I ever noticed these beautiful reflections that had been appearing every evening (when the suns out) in my kitchen 😯 #reflection@myhousethismonth#howwasimissingthem
So today I’m leaving you with the challenge to #slowitdown this weekend and appreciate what you have 💫.... I’ve plans to do just that as we’re starting to celebrate MrMrC’s birthday with a relaxing night away @lougherneresort 👫 🎂
Have a fabulous one ✨
A few days ago we went to @ikeausa for some tiny space inspiration! We thought this bathroom was a challenge at 5x5. The doll house bathroom will be a whopping 4x6 (that’s a generous estimation.) It will have just enough room for a wall mount sink, tiny toilet and 4’ tub. 🛁👌🏻 It’s crazy what you can fit into a small space when you plan properly- this house has stretched our minds and capabilities many times! Still figuring how our sofa will fit in the living room and what wall will fit our 47” TV 😳( I checked and there isn’t one🤦🏼♀️) ... future #minimalist here. 🙌🏻 Do you have any small difficult rooms in your home??

I would take a smaller pool over no pool at all. .
Although, pools are typically not a wise financial investment as many buyers don’t want them—- they sure are beautiful when done right. .
Would a pool be a + or - for you?
Gallery walls are kind of sort of a favorite of mine! We have one in pretty much every room 😂😂. I love how they look, but I also love that I can add so many quotes, bible verses, pictures that mean a lot to us, inspire us, or represent memories or dreams! 99% of everything on our gallery walls has a meaning. I pick things intentionally ... not just for looks. Goes back to my love of functional decor! Usually by that I mean it has a use ... but I think having a purpose counts as functional as well! .
Also, I get asked a lot about how I hang my gallery walls! You prob won’t love my answer ... I just wing it 😳🤷🏼♀️! I mean I sort of have a system. I lay it all out on the floor by the spot it’s going to hang on. Then move it all around until I love it, snap a picture, and start by hanging the middle piece. I work my way around leaving a few inches in between pieces until it’s finished! Almost always 1-3 things don’t fit and I return them! Do you love gallery walls? Do they intimidate you?

HOW TO DESIGN A GALLERY WALL
We're back with #DesignYourAbode , our weekly curated Instagram series where we share our best-kept design secrets so you can design your dream home like a pro!
Last time we talked about making your living room bigger, but today let's talk about dressing it up with the perfect gallery wall. Here are the key steps to follow:
1) Figure out your aesthetic—A theme is key. And "theme" doesn't have to mean "boring." Consider a theme based on color where all of the art incorporates the same 1-3 colors; a theme based on a design aesthetic like monochromatic or abstract; a theme based on frame cohesion, in which all of the frames are the same color and thickness, but the art has variety; or even an avant garde theme that mixes textures, depth and shapes. Once you've nailed down your aesthetic, you can easily pick the right pieces to display on your gallery wall.
2) Practice placement—Now that you have your pieces, figure out your exact layout. Measure your wall and then recreate the wall space on the floor, or hang cardboard cutouts that are the same size and shape of your artwork and tape them to the wall. Start with your largest pieces first and then fill in with the smaller pieces to secure your layout. Based on your theme, consider if your artwork should all be evenly spaced and symmetrical or if it should incorporate asymmetric levels. Should it span the entire wall or just hang over the couch?
3) Start hanging—Once you're committed to your layout, grab your new best friend—a level—and start hanging!

This kitchen is almost complete! French oak floors, white cabinets and island, and new skylights and windows for plenty of natural light 🙌🏽
Day 16 - let there be light
So today’s picture isn’t what I had planned. Today’s picture is now of my darling boy Alfie who we sadly said goodbye to this afternoon, so I’m dedicating this one to him. I read recently that a dog will give you the happiest days of your life and also one of the saddest........I hope there will be light again, because it feels quite dark here tonight. I’ll miss you forever Alfie 💔 xx

I’ve been searching for the perfect chair for this corner and am pretty set on one of the ever popular wood+fabric chairs but can’t quite make up my mind on one, or they are over budget. BUT Adam spotted one locally that might work! At a real mom and pop furniture store. Not World Market or West Elm or anywhere online. A real deal furniture store. Imagine that! It’s probably still from China but I feel good supporting a local shop. Anyways, I still have to go see it in person but I think it may do the trick. Speaking of chairs, yes that’s Finn’s little woven chair. It’s 35 years old and from Africa and my favorite thing. It belonged to me when I was little and she loves using it which makes me so happy. I don’t ever want it to leave this living room! Ok bye Happy Thursday. ✌️
Color of the year for the win! Would you be brave enough to have a color as a main feature throughout your home, or do you prefer color kept in small doses? We love a good neutral space, but also have a major love for splashes of color done well💙⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Decorative @hesavill solid brass Regency-style Laurel Wreath Box Castor in Polished Brass. .
The laurel wreath is a common motif in architecture and furniture. Often carved in the stone and decorative plaster works of Robert Adam. In decorative arts, especially during the Regency period, the laurel wreath was inlaid in marquetry and applied to furniture in the form of gilded brass mounts. .
Apollo, the patron of sport, is associated with wearing a laurel wreath. This arose from the Greek myth of Apollo and Daphne. Apollo mocked the god of love, Eros (Cupid) for using a bow and arrow as Apollo is also patron of archery. The insulted Eros then prepared two arrows: one of gold and one of lead. He shot Apollo with the gold arrow, instilling in the god a passionate love for the river nymph Daphne. He shot Daphne with the lead arrow, instilling in her a hatred for Apollo. Apollo pursued Daphne until she begged to be free of him and was turned into a laurel tree. .
Apollo vowed to honour Daphne forever and used his powers of eternal youth and immortality to render the laurel tree evergreen. Apollo then made a wreath out of the laurel branches, turning Daphne into a cultural symbol for him and other poets and musicians. Thus has the laurel come to symbolise: victory, achievement, fame, prosperity, creativity, beauty and peace. .
The bay laurel wreath was given as a symbol to the winner of the Pythian Games, one of the Panhellenic Games of Ancient Greece, held in honour of Apollo at his sanctuary at Delphi (held every two years after the Olympic Games). .
