•I never thought I was going to be able to run the Pyongyang Marathon. You must know that I don't usually run, so I just signed up for a 10k, which was probably the best 10k I've ever run in my life.
The whole experience was truly amazing, as it is the only moment when you can be on your own, as the whole tour is fully guided and you're NEVER EVER on your own. •
I remember running and listening to lots of people saying: "pali pali" (quickly, quickly) and some of them waving hands and of course cheering us up. Did a thing for #globalrunningday : Finished the 2x2x12 challenge tonight! 2 miles every 2 hours within 12 hours. It actually ended up being a great way to get some miles in! 12 miles, 22k steps, 48 “flights” of stairs.
I actually enjoyed this one — even if a neighbor asked me “how many more times will I see you today?!” Yeah, I knew it might make me look crazy around the neighborhood, though I’d totally do it again!
Whether or not you take this course, I would like you to remember something. We do not study oppression simply for the sake of studying oppression. Nor do we do it simply to fight against oppression. We do it so that we may better enact liberation. We do it so that we may proactively engage in building a world that meets all of our needs and that honors, respects and upholds our fullest humanity.
