🏖️ On our day of exploring the vast Busan coast, we ventured to Cheongsapo Seafood Town for lunch after visiting the Daritol Observation Deck (Skywalk). At this popular seafood restaurant, we had another seafood feast of:
🐚 PEN SHELL, SCALLOPS, OCEAN QUAHOG topped with chilli peppers, onions, butter, cheese
🥰 The staff grilled and cut it up for us, then put it in a foil bowl with more onions and enoki mushrooms. The Pen Shell was like scallops but cleaner & sweeter in taste. Loved the plump & firm ocean quahog. The scallops were delicate & tender.
🤤 The creamy clam juices saved in the foil bowl… soaked up by enoki for a sweet umami flavour-bomb! RICE JUSEYO!
🍲 ROCKFISH SOUP [₩35,000]
😋 Bubbling with kimchi, onions, enoki mushrooms & rockfish. The rockfish was lean, sweet with a nutty flavour that shines with the rich spicy soup that was sweet, salty with hint of sourness (kimchi). This BEGGED to be eaten with rice!
🥢 MIYUK GUK (SEAWEED SOUP), PRAWNS, YEOLMU KIMCHI, GARLIC, CARROT, GREEN CHILLI, SSAMJANG
😘 The fresh carrots and such were a welcomed companion to add some crunch to the meal. We also grilled garlic and popped some carrots in soups to add sweetness. The Yeolmu Kimchi 💓 – refreshing sweet tartness with a snap! The comforting Miyuk Guk was clean and umami.
🍶 A bottle of Makgeolli and rice as service!
💁♀️ Our server didn’t speak English but apparently my basic Korean was sufficient! She was chipper and friendly, great table-side service and guided us (we only understood half of it haha).
💲 For huge fresh local seafood and table-side service, the price was reasonable to us.
🛋️ The place isn’t fancy but huge and spacious (2 floors & outdoor seating!) with an ocean view.
It’s a 4️⃣⭐ OUT OF 5 for us! A good meal and service, 🧐 but I didn’t care for the butter and cheese on clams. Taste-wise, it clashed with the clean sweet clams.
🤔 It is a bit out of the way for most tourists, but if you’re in Cheongsapo, it’s a fair spot if you love clams!
신촌 대포찜닭 (🍗🍗🍗🍗.5)
Jjimdak + Fried Squid + Cheese
One of my favorite Jjimdak (braised chicken dish) places in Sinchon
This place uses only the thigh & drumstick, which makes everything taste soooooo good
Level of spiceness can be chosen. This is mild
Mild is more soy sauce flavored than spicy btw
Albop rice in the shape of a cannon, is lighted when served XD

이런 터널 사진이 찍고 싶어서 열심히 검색하고, 친구 꼬드겨서 다녀왔던 가평마실 날씨 좋을 때 한번 더 다녀와야겠다
This photo was taken just a few minutes after the one I posted yesterday. It’s zoomed in more and the sun is higher so the colours are warmer. As mentioned yesterday, because of various disasters, my intended location for sunrise was still a 20 minute hike away so I just had to try some different compositions around the area I was in.
Have a great weekend everybody.

라이딩 한다고 밖을 나가보니
오늘 유난히 푹 찌는 기운이 느껴집니다.
주간 날씨를 보니 본격적인 여름이 시작 되나봐요.☀️😅

Daeonsil (Great #Greenhouse ) at #Changgyeonggung Palace is Korea's first Western-style greenhouse built in 1909. Compared to the palaces during Joseon Dynasty, it possesses a mysterious ambience with an exotic appearance.😍 Unlike its beauty, it keeps the painful history of Korea because this greenhouse was built during the Japanese colonization as a botanical garden to comfort the confined King, Sunjong, the last emperor of the Korean Empire.
All of the constructions in Changgyeonggung Palace built during Japanese colonization were demolished but Daeonsil remains as it was designated as a registered cultural asset with its modernity adopted at the end of the Korean Empire generation. In this greenhouse, about 70 kinds of wildflowers, rare and native plants🌱 including Hyangnamu Tree in Changdeokgung Palace (natural monument no. 194) and Fatsia on Bijindo Island are exhibited. Look when Daeonsil at Changgyeonggung Palace shines brilliantly in the spring sunshine.✨
