Color match! 👌🏻😏

Can you tell the difference between the giant manta and reef manta rays?
The main difference between the two species is the size of adults however, the only way to be sure is by comparing colour pattern. Both have dark dorsal sides but the white lines on them make different shapes, the pattern on reef manta ray produces a Y shape whereas the giant manta ray makes a T.
The vulnerable #Manta ray is highly intelligent; studies have shown that manta rays are able to create mental maps of their environment, through smell and visual cues, indicating long-term memory.
These spectacular rays are highly threatened— they are the largest rays in the world with a wingspan of 29ft!
I was born in Pakistan and moved to a Parisian suburb when I was 3 years old. The suburbs are very different from Paris — you grow up with people of so many different nationalities, skin colors and religions. Adults tell you you’re different from other kids but it doesn’t matter on the playground.
I used to have short hair, play football and box. Other girls would push me away and I would do the same, but my parents were cool and understood it. Even though they faced pressure from uncles saying that girls shouldn’t play with boys, they never stopped me from doing anything.
But someday I was a girl and, at that age, girls and boys didn’t play the same games. It was a complicated time for me but I learnt how to accept myself even if I wasn’t the way other people thought girls should be.
Visual arts always been my way of expressing myself as far as can I remember. I used to photograph my sisters when they were babies and all the family events. My dad used to film all the birthdays and Eids. I was always next to him trying to touch the camera. I wanted movements and new angles, even though I knew nothing about it.
By traveling, I have learned that there aren’t so many differences between different cultures — we are linked in more ways than we may realize.
Photography or filming became a way of telling stories for me — to share memories, leave a trace, or give opportunities to those who can’t express themselves by any other way. Through my work I hope to tell their story and my story.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Started to drive home from work a few days ago. Planning to go home and do laundry etc., and just kept driving. Had runners in the car.
Ended up here that evening. So damn grateful for where we live.
Trying to listen to my heart and body, and less of the mental chatter.

Paying close attention to the little things lately. The first sip of coffee in the morning. Sunshine warming my skin. The thrill of a challenging hike. The sound of rain and thunder. The bittersweet feeling of finishing a riveting book. Getting goosebumps while listening to my favorite songs. These are the things worth living for.

To live with the conscious knowledge of the shadow of uncertainty, with the knowledge that disaster or tragedy could strike at any time; to be afraid and to know and acknowledge your fear, and still to live creatively and with unstinting love: that is to live with grace. - Peter Henry Abrahams,
3 years later... Who would’ve thought our worlds would collide at the beer tent! We have been through our fair share of adventures together- I can’t wait to make more. Wouldn’t want to be doing this thing called life with anyone else. I love you lots babe 😉🥰.
